Patrons Of The Arts Scholarship
Folsom
Patrons of the Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and
promoting the arts in the community, offers this annual scholarship to local
students pursuing degrees in the arts. Scholarship recipients are selected not
only for their ability, but also for their demonstrated commitment to pursue a
career in the arts.
Eligibility

Applicants must be students
of Folsom High School, Vista del Lago High School, Folsom Lake High School, or
Folsom Lake College.

Applicants must be pursuing
an undergraduate degree in Visual or Performing Arts and plan to enter a
career in the creative professions.

Students must have at least
a 2.5 GPA.

Deadline: All entries must
be received by April 15, 2010. Incomplete or late applications will not be
considered.

Selection
and notification process:
Entries will be
evaluated by a blind jury of creative professionals appointed by Folsom Patrons
of the Arts. In selecting the winning entries, jurors will take into account a
number of factors, including: quality of submitted work, academic record,
recommendations, and strength of written Statement of Purpose.
Multiple
scholarships in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to deserving students.
Each award will be paid directly to the scholarship recipient for use toward
tuition, instruction, books, or materials, as needed.
Deadline
Applications must be received no later than April 15, 2009. Incomplete or late applications will
not be considered. (This is NOT a postmark deadline.) Mail
