Patrons Of The Arts Scholarship
Folsom Patrons of the Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting
and promoting the arts in the Folsom community, offers this annual scholarship to local
students pursuing degrees in the arts. Scholarship recipients are selected not
only for their ability, but also for their demonstrated commitment to giving
back to the community through their work.
Eligibility

Applicants
must be students of Folsom High School, Folsom Lake High School, or Folsom
Lake College.

Applicants
must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in visual, or performing arts and
plan to enter a career in the creative professions.

Students
must have at least a 2.5 GPA.

Deadline:
All entries must be received by April 1, 2008.

Selection
and notification process:
Entries will be
evaluated by a jury of creative professionals appointed by Folsom Patrons of the
Arts. In selecting the winning entries, jurors will take into account a number
of factors, including: quality of submitted work, academic record,
recommendations, and strength of written Statement of Purpose.
One scholarship in the amount
of $2,500 will be awarded. The award is paid directly to the scholarship
recipient for use toward tuition, instruction, books, or materials, as needed.
Honorable mention prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the
committee.
Deadline
Applications must be received no later than April 1, 2008. Incomplete or late applications will
not be considered. (This is NOT a postmark deadline.) Mail
